The Roland Garros tournament, as the second tennis tournament in the Grand Slam series, has been held every year since 1891 in the "Stade Roland Garros" in Paris.

ROLAND GARROS - THE ONLY CLAY COURT GRAND-SLAM-TOURNAMENT

The tennis elite gather together every year in Paris to play the only clay court tournament in the Grand Slam series. The matches take place on red ash ("terre battue") and last in average longer than the other Grand Slam tournaments and demand the players to build up patiently their strategy.
